Major Rupert Ladds, Personnel & Operations Manager within OEG’s Pelagian subsea cable consultancy business, has served for many years in the Army, both as a regular and as a reserve officer. Pelagian has supported his continued reserve commitment, providing the flexibility needed to balance his professional responsibilities with his military duties.
Major Ladds’ service has recently been recognised by the United States military through the award of a medal, acknowledging his contribution to joint efforts supporting United States colleagues in work connected to assistance for the Ukrainian military.
This recognition reflects Rupert’s dedication, professionalism and sustained commitment over many years of military service. He has successfully balanced a civilian leadership role with ongoing reserve responsibilities requiring considerable discipline, resilience and focus, and his achievement is a clear testament to his consistent contribution in both capacities.
Honoured by the US military for his dedication and support to Ukraine, Rupert has demonstrated leadership, resilience, and the added value that reservists bring.
This award represents a significant achievement for Major Ladds as he approaches retirement from military service.
We extend our sincere congratulations to Rupert on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his long-standing dedication and commitment, both to his military service and to OEG and our Pelagian business.”
